The authors set out to record the incidence of cereal leaf beetle (CLB) adults, eggs, and larvae in Central Ferry, WA, grass nurseries. We also rated each surveyed accession for external symptoms of CLB feeding damage, which was the first step toward determining the need for insecticidal sprays to control damaging populations. In addition, experimental information was obtained on the ability of CLB to feed, lay eggs, and develop on E+ and E- tall fescue plants.
