This community features research by faculty members and students in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. The college is named for its most illustrious alumnus. It has won national and regional Emmys for student television productions. Much of the research conducted at the college occurs in the technology-enhanced Focus Group Lab, Media Viewing Lab, Communication, Emotion & Cognition Lab, and Digital Research Lab. Key research areas include journalism and mass communications, advertising, literacy (i.e. media literacy) and drugs (substance abuse prevention).
