This community contains guides, digital exhibits, brochures, and histories held, curated, or created by Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC). MASC is a unit in Washington State University's Terrell Library that is primarily responsible for acquiring, administering, and preserving millions of non-circulating items, many of which are rare and unique. Collections consist of records and documents of historical value, including manuscripts, photographs, audio and video tapes, films, and printed and published materials (books, maps, broadsides, etc.). The university archives, which includes Washington State University theses and dissertations, serves as the collective memory of the institution. As of fall 2014, the MASC held approximately 19,000 linear feet of primary source materials, and 65,000 rare books and other printed items.
